2Justification
The problem or need
The last national household income & expenditure survey is old; its data does not reflect households today and is not enough to update the price basket and poverty indicators.
Today
Partial estimates from small surveys, and no up-to-date sampling frame covering all fourteen governorates.
3Objectives
- Run the 2027 national household income & expenditure survey on a sample of 24,000 households with electronic data capture and publish the results within six months of the fieldwork.
Strategic objectives served
- SO-2.1 — Rehabilitate core energy, water and transport infrastructure
- SO-2.2 — Rebuild damaged areas and provide replacement housing
4Expected benefits
| Kind | Benefit |

| Productivity | Updated price basket and poverty indicators |
